BALTIMORE — In an intense matchup on Wednesday night, Army emerged victorious over Loyola (MD) with a final score of 64-60, bolstered by a standout performance from Josh Scovens, who contributed 22 points to his team’s success.

Jalen Rucker played a crucial role in the closing moments of the game, breaking a tie with a jumper with just 44 seconds remaining. He secured the win by making a pair of free throws 20 seconds later, ensuring Army’s lead.

Scovens not only excelled offensively but also made an impact on the defensive end with three blocks as the Black Knights improved their record to 15-10, holding a 9-4 mark in the Patriot League. Rucker finished with 19 points, displaying efficiency by shooting 7 for 16 from the field, despite going 0 for 6 from beyond the arc, and he was perfect from the free-throw line at 5 for 5. He also added five rebounds to his tally. AJ Allenspach contributed as well, with a solid performance that included nine points from 2 of 4 shooting and 5 of 6 from the charity stripe.

On the other side of the court, the Greyhounds (10-14, 5-8) saw Milos Ilic lead the charge with a notable performance of 20 points and eight rebounds.
