Stillwater, Okla. — The Oklahoma State Cowgirls celebrated a solid victory against the Arizona Wildcats with an 83-64 scoreline on Wednesday night. Micah Gray led the charge for the Cowgirls with 20 points, while Stailee Heard contributed significantly with 17 points. Additionally, Praise Egharevba and Tenin Magassa each added 10 points to the team’s impressive performance. This victory brings Oklahoma State’s record to 20-4 overall and 10-3 in the Big 12 Conference, marking a remarkable achievement as they improved to 15-1 at home— their best record since 2015-16.

Throughout the game, Oklahoma State demonstrated their shooting prowess, finishing with a shooting percentage of 50%. They were also efficient from the free-throw line, converting 16 of their 22 attempts, which gave them a nine-point advantage over Arizona. The critical turning point came during a defining 10-0 run in the second quarter, where the Cowgirls outpaced their opponents, leaning significantly on their ability to draw fouls, enabling them to build a 37-29 lead going into halftime.

Isis Beh stood out for the Wildcats, showcasing impressive skill with 24 points on 11 of 13 shooting, while Paulina Paris added 15 points to the Arizona effort. Despite Beh’s effort to keep Arizona competitive, the Cowgirls managed to pull ahead significantly in the third quarter. Heard quickly netted the first five points, and Gray’s scoring helped ignite a decisive 10-0 run, which established a double-digit lead for the remainder of the game. The third quarter concluded with Oklahoma State extending their lead to 64-44, thanks to an 8-0 run, primarily driven by Egharevba.

Looking ahead, Oklahoma State will face BYU on Saturday, while the Wildcats will host No. 11 TCU on Sunday as they continue their respective campaigns in the coming days.
