MURRAY, Ky.
— In an exciting matchup on Tuesday evening, Murray State managed to secure a 63-53 victory over UIC, bolstered by impressive performances from Terence Harcum and Kylen Milton, who each contributed 13 points.
Harcum also facilitated the offense with six assists for the Racers, who now hold a record of 13-13 and are 7-8 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
Milton had a challenging shooting night, finishing with 2 of 8 from the field, which included 1 of 4 from three-point range, but made an impact by hitting 8 of his 10 free throw attempts.
Additionally, Nick Ellington supported the team by scoring 12 points while shooting 6 of 10 from the floor.
For UIC, Modestas Kancleris was the standout player, concluding the game with 12 points alongside 10 rebounds, while teammate Jordan Mason chipped in with 11 points.
The first half saw KyeRon Lindsay emerge as a key player for Murray State, leading the scoring with eight points, helping the Racers establish a notable 31-20 lead by halftime.
Following the break, Harcum took charge, scoring a team-high nine points to further propel Murray State towards their victory.
Both teams are set to return to action on Sunday; Murray State will face off against Northern Iowa at home, while UIC will take on Missouri State in their own arena.
