OXFORD, Ohio — In an impressive display of skill, Kam Craft scored 40 points while hitting nine 3-pointers, leading Miami (Ohio) to a 92-80 triumph over Toledo on Tuesday evening.
Craft showcased his shooting prowess, making 13 of 22 shots from the floor, including a remarkable 9 for 14 from beyond the arc, and finishing a perfect 5 for 5 from the free-throw line. This victory improved the RedHawks’ record to 19-5 overall and 10-1 in the Mid-American Conference.
Evan Ipsaro supported Craft’s stellar performance with 14 points, shooting 4 of 8 overall, and also demonstrating his 3-point accuracy by going 3 for 3 from long distance while making all three of his free throws.
On the other side of the court, Toledo’s Sonny Wilson was the standout performer, contributing 23 points and dishing out five assists. Sam Lewis also had a strong showing with 21 points, while Isaiah Adams chipped in with 19 points. Unfortunately for the Rockets, who now have a record of 15-9 and are 8-3 in the conference, their five-game winning streak came to an end with this loss.
Craft’s pivotal performance included scoring 20 points in the first half, which helped Miami take a commanding 45-30 lead into halftime.
Looking ahead, both teams are set to continue their season on Saturday. Miami will travel to face off against Western Michigan, while Toledo heads on the road to meet Eastern Michigan.
