BALTIMORE — Ramón Laureano, an outfielder, has signed a one-year agreement with the Baltimore Orioles that includes a team option worth $6.5 million for the year 2026.
The details of Laureano’s contract, which was revealed on February 4, indicate that it guarantees him $4 million. Additionally, he will be provided a hotel suite during his team’s road games.
Performance bonuses are also part of the contract, with Laureano set to receive $100,000 if he secures the MVP title. Should he finish second or third in MVP voting, he would be awarded $75,000 and $50,000, respectively. Furthermore, if he earns the World Series MVP title, he will gain an additional $100,000. Laureano will also receive $50,000 for being selected to the All-Star team, or for winning a Gold Glove or Silver Slugger award, as well as for being named the MVP of the League Championship Series.
