— In a decisive match on Monday night, Cameron Shockley-Okeke and Marcus Dockery each contributed 18 points, guiding the Howard Bison to a strong 77-57 win over the Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks.
Shockley-Okeke displayed an impressive shooting performance, completing 6 of 12 attempts and sinking 5 out of 11 three-point shots. His teammate Dockery was also effective, making 7 of 10 shots, which included 2 for 4 from beyond the arc, in addition to hitting 2 of 4 free throws. Blake Harper supported the team with a solid effort, scoring 13 points.
For the Hawks, who suffered their eighth consecutive defeat, Ketron Shaw stood out with a remarkable 25 points along with four steals. Chris Flippin added 12 points to the scoreboard while Evan Johnson contributed 10 points in the effort.
This victory improved Howard’s record to 10-14 overall and 5-2 within the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, while Maryland Eastern Shore fell to 4-19 and remains winless in the conference at 0-7.
