FULLERTON, Calif. — In a decisive matchup on Saturday evening, UC Davis triumphed over Cal State Fullerton with a score of 65-49, anchored by Ty Johnson’s stellar performance, who netted 20 points.
Johnson managed to convert 8 of his 20 attempts from the field, including 3 of 8 from beyond the arc, and was 1 for 4 in free-throw opportunities for the Aggies, who improved to a record of 14-10, with a conference standing of 8-5 in the Big West. Leo DeBruhl contributed significantly with 11 points, shooting 3 of 5 overall, which included hitting 2 of 3 from three-point territory and a perfect 3 for 3 from the charity stripe. Together, they also brought in six rebounds, propelled the team with 10 assists, and amassed six steals during the game. Additionally, Carl Daughtery Jr. added 10 points to the tally, shooting 4 for 9, including 2 for 4 from long range.
For the Titans, Zach Visentin was the standout performer, leading his team with 17 points while also recording three blocks. Kaleb Brown contributed with six points and a notable nine rebounds.
