MARTIN, Tenn. — Tarence Guinyard delivered a standout performance, scoring 20 points, to lead UT Martin to an 81-70 victory over Western Illinois, thereby putting an end to their five-game losing streak on Saturday.

Guinyard also contributed six rebounds for the Skyhawks, who improved their record to 10-15 overall and 6-8 in the Ohio Valley Conference. Supporting him, Vladimer Salaridze added 18 points and grabbed six rebounds, while Filip Radakovic chipped in with 11 points to the team’s effort.

On the other side, the Leathernecks, struggling with their own challenges, were led by Marko Maletic, who scored 27 points in an ultimately disappointing performance. Trey Deveaux contributed significantly with 17 points and seven rebounds, while Ryan Myers rounded out the scoring with 12 points. Unfortunately for Western Illinois, this matchup marked their 10th consecutive loss, deepening their struggles in the season.
