OREM, Utah — Tanner Toolson delivered an impressive performance, scoring 24 points as Utah Valley triumphed over Tarleton State with a score of 81-56 on Saturday evening.

Toolson also contributed defensively, recording three steals for the Wolverines, who now hold a record of 17 wins and 7 losses, including 9 victories and 1 defeat in the Western Athletic Conference.

Carter Welling supported the team’s efforts by hitting 4 of 9 attempts from the field and converting 4 out of 6 free-throw attempts, finishing the game with 13 points. Dominick Nelson added an additional 11 points to the scoreboard for Utah Valley.

On the opposing side, the Texans, who have a record of 10 wins and 15 losses and 5 wins against 5 losses in conference play, saw Bubu Benjamin lead their scoring with 18 points. Chris Mpaka made a notable contribution as well, totaling 12 points, grabbing eight rebounds, recording two steals, and blocking five shots. Izzy Miles also made his mark, scoring 11 points and making three steals in the game.
