In Carrollton, Georgia, North Alabama secured an impressive victory against West Georgia with a score of 78-61 on Saturday, thanks in large part to Will Soucie’s standout performance.
Soucie contributed significantly to the team’s success, scoring 17 points with an efficient shooting record, making 7 of 13 attempts from the field and sinking 3 of 4 free throws.
Alongside him, Donte Bacchus added to the scoreboard with 16 points, shooting 6 of 8 from the field and 2 of 4 from the charity stripe, while Jacari Lane chipped in 14 points, going 6 of 13 overall, including two successful 3-point shots out of four attempts.
On the opposing side, the Wolves were led by Kolten Griffin, who delivered a noteworthy performance with 17 points, six rebounds, and two blocks.
Demetrus Johnson II also made a valuable contribution with 13 points, and Tamaury Releford scored 11 points while securing eight rebounds for West Georgia.
Both teams will be back in action on Thursday, with North Alabama set to face North Florida at home, while West Georgia travels to Eastern Kentucky for their next matchup.
