In addition to Asi’s stellar performance, Stailee Heard contributed significantly with a double-double, scoring 21 points and securing 11 rebounds for Oklahoma State (19-4, 9-3 in the Big 12 Conference). This victory also marked one of the largest wins against a ranked opponent in the history of the program. Micah Gray joined in the scoring frenzy with 19 points, with both Gray and Heard hitting three 3-pointers while Asi tallied six assists during the game.

For the Wildcats (22-3, 10-2), Jaelyn Glenn managed to put up 13 points and Serena Sundell chipped in with 11 points.

The Cowgirls came out strong, dominating the first quarter with a score of 31-9. After an early miss, they quickly found their rhythm, hitting nine consecutive shots, four of which were from beyond the arc. Their impressive outside shooting was evident as they nailed 7 of 11 attempts from three-point range in the opening quarter.

This high-scoring first quarter marked the 11th time this season that Oklahoma State scored 30 or more points in a quarter and the 15th instance in which they limited their opponent to single digits.

During the first half, Asi was incredibly efficient, going 6-of-7 from three-point territory, nearly outscoring the entire Wildcats team on her own. Gray added 15 points and Heard scored 11, with each player sinking three 3-pointers. The team finished the half shooting 12 of 21 from beyond the arc and an impressive 57% overall, while Kansas State struggled with just 23%.

Asi continued her strong performance with two 3-pointers in a third-quarter streak that extended Oklahoma State’s lead to 70-32 before the final quarter.
