Jake Paul hit back at Canelo Alvarez on Friday evening, a day after the renowned Mexican boxer opted for a lucrative four-fight agreement with Riyadh Season, rather than a potential matchup with the social media sensation.

On social media, Paul unleashed a barrage of criticism at Alvarez, asserting, “The reality is you could be bought. You are just a money-driven squirrel looking for your next payday. The truth is, these shady figures involved in sports-washing are offering you hundreds of millions to prevent our fight from happening because they cannot bear the thought that they can’t engineer a bigger fight than you and me.”

Turki Alalshikh, the leader of Riyadh Season and the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, revealed the four-fight deal on social media Thursday. The inaugural bout is set for May in Riyadh, with Terence Crawford, the reigning welterweight champion, potentially featured in the second fight in Las Vegas.

Over the years, Alvarez has been the most profitable name in boxing, and at 34 years old, the super middleweight champion has effectively utilized the notion of a staged fight with Paul to secure a substantial deal from the Saudi Arabian officials who have injected considerable financial resources into the sport recently.

“You label me as a YouTuber, but you’ve never participated in a boxing match that compares to mine,” Paul declared. “I can assure you, Canelo, any fight you have this year will not eclipse mine.”

In a hypothetical contest, Alvarez would undoubtedly be the overwhelming favorite against Paul, who has managed to cultivate an impressive following in the realm of combat sports by facing mixed martial artists and even a 58-year-old Mike Tyson.

Alvarez last entered the ring in September in Las Vegas, where he outpointed Edgar Berlanga, bringing his record to an impressive 62 wins, 2 losses, and 2 draws, with 39 of those victories coming by way of knockout.
