NORTHRIDGE, Calif. — In a commanding performance, Marcus Adams Jr. netted 21 points, leading Cal State Northridge to an impressive 82-63 victory over Cal State Fullerton on Thursday evening.
Adams not only shined offensively but also contributed defensively, grabbing seven rebounds and securing four steals for the Matadors, who improved their record to 16-7 and 8-4 in the Big West Conference. Keonte Jones also had a strong outing, with 18 points, while boasting a double-double with 12 rebounds alongside six assists, five steals, and three blocks. Tyler Beard supported the team with 12 points, shooting 4 of 11 from the field, including 2 of 7 from three-point range.
On the opposing side, Donovan Oday led the Titans with 18 points. Kaleb Brown added 11 points and contributed two steals for Cal State Fullerton, who now holds a record of 6-18 and 1-11 in the conference. Keith Richards rounded out the scoring for the Titans with eight points.
Looking ahead, both teams will be in action again on Saturday. Cal State Northridge is set to take on Long Beach State, while Cal State Fullerton will host UC Davis at their home court.
