BROOKINGS, S.D. — In an exciting matchup on Thursday night, Owen Larson delivered an impressive performance, scoring 22 points in South Dakota State’s commanding 102-86 triumph over St. Thomas.
Larson also contributed significantly in rebounding, pulling down 10 boards for the Jackrabbits, who now hold a record of 16 wins and 9 losses, standing at 7-3 in the Summit League. Joe Sayler complemented Larson’s effort with 16 points, shooting 5 for 11 from the field and perfecting all his free throw attempts at 5 for 5. Kalen Garry further supported the team’s offensive efforts by adding 15 points, making 6 of his 13 attempts from the field, which included 2 three-pointers out of 5 attempts.
On the other side, the Tommies, sitting at 18-7 with an 8-2 league record, saw Drake Dobbs leading their scoring with 23 points. Additionally, Miles Barnstable contributed 14 points to the scoreboard, while Kendall Blue rounded out the performances with 13 points, along with four assists, two steals, and two blocks.
