ALBANY, N.Y. — In an impressive display of skill, Major Freeman scored 28 points to propel Siena to a 77-63 victory over Saint Peter’s on Thursday evening.
Freeman excelled with an impressive shooting performance, going 10 for 14 from the floor, including sinking 3 of 6 attempts from beyond the arc, and he managed to make all 5 of his free-throw attempts. This triumph improves Siena’s record to 11-12 overall and 6-6 within the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
Besides Freeman’s standout performance, Justice Shoats contributed significantly to the win with 20 points, hitting 9 of 15 shots from the field, in addition to registering three steals. Brendan Coyle also had a notable performance, scoring 14 points while shooting 4 for 6 from three-point territory and converting 2 of 3 from the free-throw line.
Leading the scoring for the Peacocks was Marcus Randolph, who notched 19 points along with two steals. Bryce Eaton also made a solid contribution, finishing the game with 15 points and two steals, while Armoni Zeigler rounded off the team’s efforts with eight points.
Looking ahead, both teams have games scheduled for Saturday. Siena will travel to face Rider, while Saint Peter’s is set to compete against Manhattan on the road.
