BUIES CREEK, N.C. — In an impressive display of teamwork and skill, Colby Duggan led the Fighting Camels of Campbell University to a 76-58 victory over Elon University on Thursday evening.

Duggan had a standout performance, scoring a total of 23 points while shooting 8 of 20 from the field, including 3 of 8 from beyond the arc, and completing a perfect 4 for 4 from the free-throw line. His contributions have been pivotal for the Fighting Camels (now holding a record of 13-11, 8-3 in the Coastal Athletic Association), allowing them to extend their winning streak to six games. Tasos Cook also played a key role, contributing 14 points along with four steals. Jasin Sinani added to the offensive effort, going 4 for 7 from the field, including 3 of 6 from three-point range to finish with 11 points.

The Phoenix (15-9, 6-5) saw Sam Sherry as their top scorer with 12 points and contributing eight rebounds. Nick Dorn and TJ Simpkins each chipped in with 11 points for Elon, but it wasn’t enough to fend off the Camels’ offensive onslaught.

Campbell established control of the game early on, seizing the lead less than five minutes into the match and maintaining it throughout. Duggan was instrumental in the first half, scoring 15 points, which helped Campbell secure a 40-28 lead at halftime. Their momentum continued into the second half where an 8-0 scoring run increased their advantage from 14 points to 22. Cook shone particularly during this period, leading the team with 14 points after the break, while Campbell outscored Elon by six points in the second half.

Looking ahead, Campbell is set to host North Carolina A&T on Monday for their next matchup, while Elon will travel to face Charleston on Saturday.
