CHARLESTON, S.C. — In a thrilling match on Thursday evening, Ante Brzovic stood out with an impressive performance, contributing 24 points to lead the Charleston Cougars to a narrow 66-63 win over North Carolina A&T.
Brzovic’s influence extended beyond scoring, as he also secured nine rebounds, aiding in Charleston’s success. The team, now with a record of 18 wins and 6 losses, sits at 8-3 in the Coastal Athletic Association standings. Justas Stonkus complemented Brzovic’s efforts with 12 points and five rebounds, playing a crucial role in the Cougars’ victory.
On the other side, Jahnathan Lamothe was the standout performer for the Aggies, tallying 15 points, nine rebounds, and three steals. N.C. A&T, which is struggling this season, received additional support from Jalal McKie and Camian Shell, who scored 14 and 12 points, respectively.
