CHARLESTON, S.C. — In a thrilling match on Thursday evening, Ante Brzovic stood out with an impressive performance, contributing 24 points to lead the Charleston Cougars to a narrow 66-63 win over North Carolina A&T.
Brzovic’s influence extended beyond scoring, as he also secured nine rebounds, aiding in Charleston’s success. The team, now with a record of 18 wins and 6 losses, sits at 8-3 in the Coastal Athletic Association standings. Justas Stonkus complemented Brzovic’s efforts with 12 points and five rebounds, playing a crucial role in the Cougars’ victory.
On the other side, Jahnathan Lamothe was the standout performer for the Aggies, tallying 15 points, nine rebounds, and three steals. N.C. A&T, which is struggling this season, received additional support from Jalal McKie and Camian Shell, who scored 14 and 12 points, respectively. This game marked the 10th consecutive loss for the Aggies, deepening their challenges this season.
