The Washington Wizards have executed a trade with the Philadelphia 76ers, sending guard Jared Butler along with four second-round draft picks in exchange for guard Reggie Jackson and a first-round pick in 2026.

Following the trade, the Wizards made a swift move by placing the 34-year-old Jackson on waivers. This season, Jackson has logged an average of only 12.4 minutes per game.

As part of this trade, Washington is set to receive one of three potential first-round picks in 2026. The pick will be the least favorable option among those owned by the Los Angeles Clippers, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Houston Rockets, provided that Houston’s pick isn’t in the top four slots.

On the other hand, the Philadelphia 76ers have acquired 24-year-old Butler, who has been contributing an average of 6.9 points per game this season. Additionally, Philadelphia gains second-round picks from the Wizards for the years 2027 and 2028, along with two more second-rounders designated for 2030.

Moreover, Washington has also opted to waive forward Sidy Cissoko, who was obtained from the Sacramento Kings in a prior deal. Simultaneously, the 76ers have waived forward Pete Nance.
