BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — In an impressive display of skill, Rylan Jones scored 23 points to lead Samford to a commanding 100-79 victory over Mercer on Wednesday night.

Jones not only excelled in scoring but also contributed six assists for the Bulldogs, who hold an overall record of 19-5 and a conference record of 9-2 in the Southern Conference.

Julian Brown was another key performer for Samford, making five out of ten attempts from the field, including five three-pointers for a total of 15 points. Jaden Brownell also made significant contributions, shooting 4 of 9 overall and sinking 4 of 8 from beyond the arc to add 12 points to the scoreboard.
