ST. JOHN’S, Antigua — The West Indies Cricket Board has confirmed that Australia will visit the Caribbean for a series of cricket matches in June and July, featuring three Test matches and five Twenty20 internationals.
This marks Australia’s first Test visit to the West Indies since 2015, as well as the first three-Test series between the two nations since the West Indies played in Australia during the 2015-16 season.
The opening Test of the Frank Worrell Trophy is scheduled to commence in Bridgetown, Barbados on June 25. The second Test will take place in St. George’s, Grenada starting on July 3, followed by the third Test in Kingston, Jamaica on July 12.
Additionally, Sabina Park in Kingston will host the first two T20 matches on July 20 and 22. The remaining three T20 internationals are set to be played in Basseterre, St. Kitts on July 25, 26, and 28.
The series against the West Indies will begin just two weeks after Australia participates in the World Test Championship final against South Africa, which kicks off on June 11 at Lord’s.
Since last hosting the Frank Worrell Trophy series, the West Indies have traveled to Australia for three Test tours.
Both teams are currently active in Asia; earlier this year, the West Indies concluded a two-match series against Pakistan, finishing with a drawn outcome in late January, while Australia is currently leading its ongoing two-Test series in Sri Lanka 1-0.
