CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Giannis Antetokounmpo was ruled out prior to the Milwaukee Bucks’ matchup with the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday evening, due to experiencing tightness in his left calf.

Although the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player completed his warm-up routine, he subsequently headed to the locker room and was absent when it came time for the starting players to be presented on the court.

In his absence, Bobby Portis took the starting position, stepping in to fill the void left by Antetokounmpo.
