PORTLAND, Ore. — Anfernee Simons led the Portland Trail Blazers to their fifth consecutive victory, scoring 22 points in a commanding 112-89 triumph over the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night.

Jerami Grant contributed another 20 points for the Blazers, who have impressively won nine out of their last ten games.

Despite the loss, the Pacers’ Andrew Nembhard showcased his talent by putting up 17 points, but the defeat ended their four-game winning streak.

In the fourth quarter, T.J. McConnell managed to make a basket that narrowed the score to 80-74, but Scoot Henderson responded with a long 3-pointer that extended Portland’s lead to 89-76 with just 6:10 remaining in the game.

The Pacers have had a strong start to the year, winning 12 of 15 games, positioning themselves among the league’s top five in both offensive and defensive statistics during that timeframe.

Myles Turner returned to the lineup for the Pacers after missing the previous game due to a right peroneal strain and finished with nine points.

The Trail Blazers began the match strong, leading 27-18 at the end of the first quarter. Although the Pacers narrowed the deficit to 38-34 near the end of the first half, Portland still led 45-38 at halftime.

Turner made a 3-pointer to bring Indiana closer at 53-49, but Portland maintained their composure and extended the lead to 60-52 following an impressive dunk by Shaedon Sharpe.

A scuffle broke out between Nembhard and Deandre Ayton with 4:27 left in the third quarter, leading to offsetting technical fouls for both players.

### Observations
For the Pacers, Andrew Nembhard received the honor of being named the Eastern Conference Defensive Player of the Month, and Pascal Siakam reached a milestone with his 4,000th career rebound during the game.

The Trail Blazers played the second game of a back-to-back slate after narrowly defeating the Phoenix Suns by a score of 121-119.
