NEW ORLEANS — In a thrilling overtime clash, Keon Thompson showcased his skills by scoring 23 points, while Matt Hayman sealed the game for Stephen F. Austin with a spectacular 3-pointer from beyond halfcourt to finish with 19 points. The Lumberjacks managed to secure an 88-85 victory over New Orleans on Monday night.

The game had an exhilarating finish when JR Jacobs nailed a 3-pointer with just two seconds left, putting New Orleans back on level terms before Hayman delivered the decisive shot. Thompson contributed not only in scoring but also on the boards, grabbing five rebounds and dishing out five assists for the Lumberjacks, who now hold a record of 10-13 and 3-9 in the Southland Conference. Hayman was efficient throughout the match, hitting 7 of his 15 attempts from the field, including five 3-pointers, while also securing five rebounds.
