Marco Asensio, a three-time winner of the Champions League, has officially transferred to Aston Villa on a loan deal from Paris Saint-Germain as of Monday.
The talented midfielder, who previously played for Real Madrid, has committed to the club until the end of the current season.
This marks Villa’s second significant acquisition during the final moments of the transfer window, following the recent loan signing of Marcus Rashford from Manchester United.

At 29 years old, Asensio has made 38 international appearances for Spain, contributing to the team’s victory in the Nations League earlier this year.
Aston Villa is currently progressing well in the Champions League, having reached the round of 16, and is actively vying for a top-four finish in the Premier League.
The club has been particularly active in January, adding Donyell Malen from Borussia Dortmund for a fee estimated at $24 million and acquiring Andres Garcia from Levante for approximately $7 million.
