CHICAGO — N.J. Benson contributed significantly with 17 points and 11 rebounds as DePaul triumphed over Seton Hall, finishing the game 74-57 on Sunday night.

Benson showcased his skills by hitting 8 of 13 attempts and also made two blocks, achieving his third double-double for the season. This victory was particularly important for the Blue Demons (11-12, 2-10 in the Big East Conference), as it marked the end of a three-game losing streak.

CJ Gunn also had a strong performance for DePaul, recording 16 points and snagging seven rebounds. Additionally, Isaiah Rivera, coming off the bench, excelled by making 4 of 6 attempts from beyond the arc, contributing 14 points to the scoreboard. Another reserve player, Jacob Meyer, chipped in with 11 points before being disqualified due to fouls.

For the Pirates (6-16, 1-10), Isaiah Coleman led the team with 18 points, though his shooting was less than ideal at 6-for-20 and included making two 3-pointers. Unfortunately, Seton Hall has now faced seven consecutive losses.

In the first half, both Benson and Meyer were impactful, scoring eight points each to help DePaul secure a 38-29 advantage at halftime. Gunn took charge in the second half, leading the Blue Demons with 10 points, helping solidify their victory.
