CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — Max Weisbrod shone brightly on the court, contributing significantly to Northern Iowa’s impressive 83-69 victory over Bradley on Sunday.
Weisbrod sank five 3-pointers and finished the game with 18 points, showcasing his shooting prowess as he hit 6 of 9 attempts overall, with a remarkable 5 of 7 from three-point range.
The Panthers improved their record to 14 wins and 9 losses, with a conference standing of 8-4 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
In addition to Weisbrod’s efforts, Tytan Anderson made a notable impact with 17 points and nine rebounds, while Jacob Hutson added another 12 points to the scoreboard.
On the opposing side, Jaquan Johnson led the Braves with an impressive performance, scoring 27 points, collecting seven rebounds, and grabbing two steals.
Demarion Burch contributed 13 points, while Ahmet Jonovic chipped in with 10 points for the Braves, who now hold an overall record of 18-5 and a conference mark of 9-3.
Northern Iowa asserted control of the game after seizing the lead with 8:11 remaining in the first half and maintained that advantage for the rest of the match.
