NEW ORLEANS — Rowan Brumbaugh delivered an impressive performance with 23 points, guiding Tulane to a 59-56 win against Tulsa on Sunday.

Brumbaugh’s shooting was notable, as he hit 7 of 14 attempts from the field, propelling his accuracy from beyond the arc with 5 of 8 successful three-point shots, and he also converted all four free throws. The Green Wave improved their record to 12-10 overall and 6-3 in the American Athletic Conference. Asher Woods contributed with 10 points and three steals, while Gregg Glenn III added eight points to the effort.

For the Golden Hurricane, Dwon Odom led the scoring with 13 points, supplemented by six rebounds and three thefts. Isaiah Barnes contributed 12 points, and Jared Garcia chipped in with 11, but they were unable to secure the win, leaving them at 9-13 overall and 3-6 in their conference play.

Brumbaugh set the pace early, netting 11 points in the first half; however, Tulane found themselves trailing 28-26 at halftime. The pivotal moment came when Tulane executed a 10-0 run in the second half that erased a seven-point deficit, allowing them to take a 50-47 lead with just under seven minutes remaining. In this decisive second half, Brumbaugh added another 12 points, contributing significantly to the team’s narrow victory.
