NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — In an impressive showing, Yaphet Moundi delivered a standout performance for Iona, scoring 25 points and grabbing 20 rebounds in their decisive 87-64 win against Fairfield on Sunday.
The Gaels improved their record to 9-13, and 6-5 within the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, with significant contributions from Dejour Reaves, who chipped in 19 points along with seven rebounds. Luke Jungers also played a key role, finishing with 11 points after shooting well from three-point range, going 3 for 6.

On the other side of the court, Deon Perry led the Stags, putting up 20 points, along with four assists and two steals. Fairfield, now at 8-14 overall and 4-7 in the conference, saw Peyton Smith add to their efforts with 14 points and two blocks. Additionally, Louis Bleechmore contributed with 10 points and six rebounds, but it was not enough to secure the victory for the Stags.
