Grand Canyon defeats Utah Valley with a score of 75-57

PHOENIX – In a decisive matchup on Saturday night, Grand Canyon University triumphed over Utah Valley with a score of 75-57, thanks to outstanding performances from Tyon Grant-Foster and Makaih Williams, who each contributed 16 points to the team’s efforts.

Grant-Foster also secured seven rebounds, helping the Antelopes maintain their strong performance in the season with a record of 17 wins and 5 losses, along with a 7-1 standing in the Western Athletic Conference. JaKobe Coles played efficiently, hitting 7 out of 11 attempts from the field, adding another 15 points and six rebounds to the scoreboard. This victory marked the sixth consecutive win for the Antelopes.

On the other side of the court, Dominick Nelson was the standout player for the Wolverines, finishing the game with 16 points. Teammate Osiris Grady pitched in with 12 points, while Carter Welling contributed seven points and recorded two blocks. Unfortunately for Utah Valley, the loss put an end to their impressive 10-game winning streak, leaving them with a record of 15 wins and 7 losses, also at 7-1 in the conference standings.

The Antelopes have established themselves as a formidable team within the Western Athletic Conference this season, while Utah Valley will look to rebound from this defeat as they continue in their campaign.
