Tilly contributes 19 points in Santa Clara’s 83-49 win against Pacific

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — In an impressive performance on Saturday night, Christoph Tilly led Santa Clara to a dominant 83-49 victory over Pacific, scoring 19 points in the process.

Tilly also contributed six rebounds for the Broncos, who improved their season record to 15-9 and 7-4 in the West Coast Conference. Camaron Tongue was another key player, adding 14 points while shooting 5 of 9 from the field, although he did not connect on any of his three attempts from long range. He did manage to hit 4 of 5 from the free-throw line and recorded five rebounds.

Adama Bal also made an impact, chipping in 13 points with a shooting line of 5 for 10, including three successful shots from beyond the three-point arc.

On the other side, the Tigers, with a record of 7-18 and 2-9 in conference play, were led by Elijah Fisher, who scored 14 points. Elias Ralph added 11 points while making two steals, while Lamar Washington contributed seven points along with four assists and four steals.

Santa Clara seized the advantage early, taking the lead with 17:36 remaining in the first half and never looking back. By halftime, the Broncos established a hefty 41-20 lead, with Tongue scoring 10 points before the break. The second half saw Santa Clara continue their strong performance, outscoring the Tigers by 13 points, highlighted by Tilly’s 12 points in that period.

Both teams are set for action again this Thursday, with Santa Clara traveling to face Portland, while Pacific will host San Diego.
