In a competitive matchup on Saturday night, Eastern Illinois showcased a strong performance, narrowly overcoming Lindenwood with a score of 76-70. Obadiah Curtis was a standout player for the Panthers, contributing significantly with 17 points and securing eight rebounds.

The Panthers, now holding a record of 8-15 and 4-8 within the Ohio Valley Conference, saw additional support from Zion Fruster, who finished with 16 points. Fruster exhibited impressive shooting, making five of eight shots from the field and nailing four out of five free throws. Artese Stapleton also made a notable impact, scoring 15 points with a shooting accuracy of 44 percent from the field, including one successful three-point attempt, and achieving a perfect six-for-six from the free-throw line.
