TROY, Ala. — In a dominant performance on Saturday night, Marcus Rigsby Jr. contributed 17 points to lead the Troy Trojans to an impressive 87-50 victory against the UL Monroe Warhawks.

Rigsby showcased his shooting prowess, converting 5 out of 7 attempts from three-point range, helping the Trojans improve their record to 15-7 overall and 8-3 in the Sun Belt Conference play. Myles Rigsby added another 15 points to the scoreboard, making 3 of 9 shots from the field, including 2 of 5 from beyond the arc, while also sinking 7 of his 8 free throw attempts. Tayton Conerway contributed 11 points, shooting 5 of 8 from the floor, with one of those being a three-pointer, despite going 1 for 4 from long distance.

The Warhawks saw Makai Willis contribute significantly with 15 points, while Coltie Young chipped in with 10 points. Additionally, Jalen Bolden recorded a noteworthy performance with not only 9 points, but also 10 rebounds, helping his team on the boards despite the overall defeat.

Looking ahead, both teams are set to compete again on Wednesday. Troy will head to James Madison for their next matchup, while UL Monroe will make the journey to take on Georgia State.
