GREELEY, Colo.
On Saturday night, the Northern Colorado Bears claimed a victory against the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks with a final score of 87-69, thanks to an impressive performance by Langston Reynolds, who scored 23 points in the match.
Reynolds contributed significantly on the boards as well, adding nine rebounds to his tally. Jaron Rillie also had a strong outing, netting 20 points while maintaining an efficient shooting percentage; he hit 4 of 7 shots from the field and demonstrated his prowess from beyond the arc with a 3-of-6 record. Additionally, Rillie was perfect from the free-throw line, going 9 for 9, and he recorded seven rebounds alongside six assists. The offensive strength of the Bears was further bolstered by Isaiah Hawthorne and Quinn Denker, each contributing 17 points to the team’s total.
On the other side, Carson Towt stood out for the Lumberjacks, finishing the game with 16 points and an impressive 19 rebounds, showcasing his dominance in rebounding. Teammates Trenton McLaughlin and Diego Campisano each added 16 points to the scoreboard as well, but it wasn’t enough to secure a win.
Looking ahead, both teams will resume play on Monday. Northern Colorado will head to Idaho State for their next matchup, while Northern Arizona travels to take on Weber State.
