ARLINGTON, Texas — In a thrilling matchup on Saturday, the University of Texas at Arlington secured a narrow victory over Utah Tech, finishing the game at 73-71. It was Brody Robinson who played a pivotal role in leading his team to this triumph, contributing 15 points along with seven assists for the Mavericks, who now hold a record of 11-11 overall and are 4-4 in the Western Athletic Conference.
Supporting Robinson’s efforts were Jaden Wells and Darius Burford. Wells also netted 15 points, showcasing his shooting skills by landing five of his nine attempts, which included a stellar performance from long range where he hit five out of eight three-point shots. Meanwhile, Burford added to the team’s score with 14 points, hitting five of his ten tries from the field, including two of three attempts from beyond the arc.
On the other side of the court, the Trailblazers had Noa Gonsalves leading the charge with a standout performance, putting up 25 points. Hakim Byrd also made a significant contribution, finishing with 20 points, while Pavle Misic chipped in with eight points for Utah Tech, who are now 6-16 overall and 2-5 in conference play.
