CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — In an exciting matchup on Saturday, Bash Wieland led the Chattanooga Mocs to a 93-84 victory over Mercer with an impressive performance, scoring 22 points.
Wieland had a shooting line of 7 for 17 from the floor, including a challenging 2-of-9 from beyond the arc, while he was flawless from the free-throw line, converting all six of his attempts. This win improves Chattanooga’s record to 15-8 overall and 7-3 in the Southern Conference.

Trey Bonham also made significant contributions to the game, adding 17 points while connecting on 5 of 11 attempts from the field and going 7 for 9 from the free-throw line. Bonham complemented his scoring with eight rebounds and five assists, showcasing his all-around skills. Honor Huff further bolstered the offensive effort for the Mocs with 16 points, shooting 4 of 9 from the field, 3 of 8 from three-point land, and a perfect 5 for 5 from the charity stripe.

On the other side, the Mercer Bears were led in scoring by Ahmad Robinson, who recorded 19 points alongside six assists. Tyler Johnson also had a solid outing, contributing 17 points and grabbing seven rebounds. Brady Shoulders chipped in with another 14 points, but it wasn’t enough to secure a win for Mercer, leaving their season record at 11-12 and 4-6 in the conference.
