In a thrilling matchup on Friday evening, Dayton triumphed over Saint Louis with a final score of 71-63, thanks to an impressive performance from Javon Bennett, who contributed 19 points to the Flyers’ victory.

Bennett displayed his shooting prowess, hitting 7 of 13 attempts, including 4 of 8 from the three-point range. Enoch Cheeks also played a key role for Dayton, netting 14 points with a 5 of 10 shooting effort overall, which included 2 of 6 from beyond the arc and a perfect 2 of 3 at the free-throw line. Cheeks further contributed defensively with three steals. Nate Santos added to the scoring with 13 points, converting 5 of 12 attempts while connecting on half of his six three-point attempts.

Both Dayton and Saint Louis are scheduled to continue their respective seasons on Tuesday, with Dayton set to face Davidson at home, while Saint Louis will travel to take on UMass.
