OGDEN, Utah — In an exciting matchup, Tyler Mrus scored 21 points, leading the Idaho Vandals to an 82-74 victory over the Weber State Wildcats on Thursday night.

Mrus not only showcased his scoring ability but also contributed with six rebounds, enhancing his team’s performance as they improved to 10 wins and 12 losses, with a record of 5-4 in the Big Sky Conference. Kristian Gonzalez put in a solid effort as well, netting 14 points. Despite struggling a bit with his shooting, going 2 for 8 from the floor, he was effective from the free-throw line, hitting 10 of his 13 attempts, and also pulled down five rebounds. Jack Payne also had a noticeable impact, scoring 12 points, going 4 for 8 from the field, including a strong showing from beyond the arc with 3 out of 6 successful 3-point attempts.

On the other side, the Wildcats (8-14, 2-6 Big Sky Conference) were paced by Blaise Threatt, who had a notable performance with 19 points to go along with six rebounds and eight assists.
