NASHVILLE, Tennessee — In an exciting matchup on Thursday night, Eastern Kentucky triumphed over Lipscomb with a score of 80-71, bolstered by Devontae Blanton’s impressive performance.
Blanton recorded 17 points, alongside 10 rebounds and 5 assists, showcasing his all-around game for the Colonels, who now hold a record of 11 wins and 11 losses, with 5 victories against 4 defeats in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
Turner Buttry contributed significantly as well, scoring 15 points and achieving a shooting percentage of 55.6%, including 3 of 6 from beyond the arc. George Kimble III added 12 points, though he struggled a bit with his shooting, hitting only 5 of 14 attempts overall, including a challenging 1 for 7 from three-point range.
On the other side of the court, the Bisons, now at 14-8 overall and 6-3 in conference play, found their scoring leader in Jacob Ognacevic, who notched a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds.
