LOGAN, Utah – In a competitive matchup on Wednesday, Deyton Albury led the Utah State Aggies to a 76-71 victory over UNLV by scoring 16 points.
Albury also contributed significantly with five rebounds and three steals, reinforcing the Aggies’ strong performance this season, boasting a record of 19 wins and only 2 losses, alongside a 9-1 mark in the Mountain West Conference.
Drake Allen played a pivotal role for the Aggies as well, shooting 5 for 7 from the field and impressively hitting all three of his attempts beyond the arc. He concluded the game with a total of 15 points.
Mason Falslev added to the team’s tally, scoring 13 points with a shooting performance of 5 for 9 from the field, which included making one out of four attempts from 3-point range and two out of four from the free-throw line.
On the other side, the Rebels, who now have an overall record of 11-10 with 5-5 in the conference, were spearheaded by Dedan Thomas Jr., who scored 22 points and provided six assists.
Jaden Henley also had a strong showing with 16 points, contributing six rebounds and two steals to his team’s efforts. Jalen Hill matched Henley with another 16-point performance, along with three steals.
Looking ahead, both teams are set to compete again on Saturday. Utah State will be looking to continue their momentum as they host New Mexico, while UNLV will take on Nevada in an away game.
