— Taryn Todd delivered an impressive performance with 25 points, leading Arkansas State to an 81-68 victory over Southern Miss on Wednesday night. This win marks the sixth consecutive triumph for the Red Wolves.
In addition to his scoring, Todd played a key role on defense, contributing three steals for his team (17-5, 8-2 in the Sun Belt Conference). Joseph Pinion also made significant contributions by scoring 13 points, connecting on 3 of 8 field goal attempts, including a solid 3 for 6 from beyond the arc. He also went perfect from the free-throw line, netting 4 for 4, while grabbing nine rebounds and securing three steals. Terrance Ford Jr. added to the offensive effort with 11 points, shooting 3 for 7 overall, including 1 for 3 from three-point range, while also converting all his free-throw attempts (4 for 4).
For Southern Miss (9-13, 4-6), Deantoni Gordon led his team with a double-double, recording 22 points and 10 rebounds, along with two steals. Denijay Harris complemented his performance with 16 points and also secured 11 rebounds, contributing two steals to the effort. Additionally, Christian Watson chipped in with 10 points.
