BOCA RATON, Fla. — In an impressive display of shooting, KyKy Tandy scored 26 points to propel Florida Atlantic to a 94-74 victory over UTSA on Wednesday night.

Tandy showcased his shooting prowess by hitting 9 of 11 shots, including a remarkable 8 from 10 beyond the three-point line, contributing significantly to the Owls’ record of 11 wins and 10 losses overall, and a conference record of 4 wins and 4 losses in the American Athletic Conference. Alongside him, Kaleb Glenn added 17 points on 7 of 10 shooting, complemented by two made shots from beyond the arc and seven rebounds. Matas Vokietaitis also played a key role with 12 points, maintaining a perfect shooting stat of 4 for 4 from the field and 4 for 5 from the free-throw line.

The Roadrunners, with a record of 9 wins and 11 losses and 3-5 in conference play, saw Damari Monsanto lead their scoring with 21 points. Marcus Millender supported with 19 points alongside two steals, while Primo Spears contributed 16 points along with five assists.

Florida Atlantic gained control of the game midway through the first half, seizing the lead with 10:20 left before halftime and maintaining it throughout. They went into the locker room with a comfortable lead of 47-32, with Tandy accounting for 11 points by that time. In the second half, the Owls surged forward with a decisive 16-3 scoring run, amplifying their lead from eight to as much as 21 points. Tandy further solidified his performance by scoring 15 points in the second half alone.

Looking ahead, Florida Atlantic has a home game scheduled against South Florida on Sunday. Meanwhile, UTSA will be making a visit to North Texas on Saturday.
