LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A 19-year-old man has entered a guilty plea for his role in a shooting incident that occurred during a block party in Arkansas, resulting in one death and multiple injuries. Tommie Frost pleaded guilty to second-degree murder as well as a firearm possession charge, with filings indicating this occurred on April 15, 2024, in Wynne. Located in eastern Arkansas and home to approximately 8,000 residents, Wynne is situated around 45 miles (72 kilometers) from Memphis, Tennessee.

The violent event left one individual, aged 27, dead and injured nine more, whose ages varied from 24 to 49. Among the injured, two were hurt by vehicles during the chaos that ensued. In the wake of his guilty plea, Frost received a sentence comprising 20 years for the murder charge and an additional 10 years for the firearm possession, with both terms to be served at the same time.

Initially, Frost, along with three additional suspects, faced more severe charges, including first-degree murder, nine counts each of first-degree battery, and nine counts related to engaging in violent group activities. As of now, the other individuals implicated in the shooting are still pending their court appearances.
