PINE BLUFF, Ark.
– Mikale Stevenson contributed significantly to Grambling’s narrow victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff, scoring 18 points in their 81-77 win on Monday evening.
In addition to his scoring, Stevenson also recorded six rebounds and six assists for the Tigers, who now stand at 6-14 overall and 3-4 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
Kintavious Dozier was another key player for Grambling, netting 15 points while shooting an impressive 5-for-8 from the 3-point line.
Chilaydrien Newton also made an impact, sinking three of five attempts from beyond the arc and finishing the game with 13 points.
On the other side, Doctor Bradley was the standout performer for the Golden Lions, leading his team with 17 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
Dante Sawyer contributed with 14 points, while Caleb Jones chipped in with 11.
Unfortunately for Arkansas-Pine Bluff, this defeat marked their seventh consecutive loss, leaving their overall record at 3-17 and a dismal 0-7 in conference play.
This matchup showcased a competitive spirit from both teams, but ultimately, Grambling managed to secure the victory.
