— In an impressive showdown on Saturday night, Central Michigan triumphed over Western Michigan with a decisive score of 73-52, thanks in part to Jakobi Heady’s standout performance, contributing 16 points.
Heady not only showcased his scoring ability but also grabbed six rebounds, playing a key role for the Chippewas (9-10, 3-4 Mid-American Conference). Kyler Vanderjagt supported the effort with a solid outing, making 4 of 5 shots from the field and converting 4 of 6 free throw attempts to finish with 13 points. Cayden Vasko also made a significant impact, adding 11 points and seven rebounds to the mix.
For the Broncos (5-14, 2-5), Markhi Strickland was the standout player, netting 14 points along with six rebounds. Owen Lobsinger contributed 10 points and nearly achieved a double-double with nine rebounds. Additionally, Chansey Willis Jr. recorded nine points and provided five assists in the match.
