MACON, Ga. — In an exciting matchup on Saturday night, Furman triumphed over Mercer with a final score of 79-74. Nick Anderson was a standout player for Furman, contributing 18 points to the victory while also securing three steals. The Paladins, now boasting a record of 16-5 and 4-4 in the Southern Conference, saw strong performances from several players. Eddrin Bronson netted 16 points, excelling with a shooting percentage of 5 for 8, which included hitting 4 of 6 attempts from beyond the arc, along with converting 2 of 3 from the free-throw line. Additionally, Pjay Smith Jr. scored 15 points, making 4 of 9 shots from the field, 2 of 6 from three, and 5 of 6 from the charity stripe.

On the opposing side, Mercer, with a record of 10-11 and 3-5 in conference play, was led by Ahmad Robinson, who delivered an impressive performance with 24 points, six assists, and three steals.
