CHARLESTON, Ill. — In a tightly contested matchup on Saturday night, Stephen Olowoniyi notched 13 points, leading Southern Indiana to a narrow 64-60 triumph over Eastern Illinois.

Olowoniyi also contributed five rebounds to the victory for the Screaming Eagles, who now hold a record of 9-11 overall and 4-6 in the Ohio Valley Conference. Sam Kodi played a pivotal role as well, scoring nine points and dishing out five assists, while Braxton Jones also chipped in with nine points.

The Panthers, struggling with a seven-game losing streak, had their top performer in Kooper Jacobi, who excelled with 17 points, 12 rebounds, and two steals. Additionally, Zion Fruster added 15 points to the effort, while Nakyel Shelton contributed 12 points, complemented by six rebounds and four assists.
