Lindsey demonstrated an effective shooting performance, making 5 out of 7 attempts from the field, including a commendable 3 for 5 from beyond the arc. This win improved Albany’s record to 11 wins and 11 losses, with a 3-4 standing in the America East Conference. In addition to Lindsey’s efforts, Justin Neely supported the team with 13 points, completing 4 of 10 shots and successfully converting all five of his free-throw attempts, alongside securing six rebounds. Amar’e Marshall matched Neely’s point total, also scoring 13 points with a shooting line of 4 of 10 from the field, which included 2 for 4 from three-point territory, in addition to going 3 for 4 from the charity stripe.
On the other side, NJIT struggled despite the strong performance from Tariq Francis, who led all scorers with an impressive 27 points. He was a standout despite the team’s overall challenges, while Tim Moore Jr. added a solid contribution of 10 points, alongside nine rebounds, two steals, and two blocks. Levi Lawal also recorded 10 points and nine rebounds, reflecting areas of promise for the Highlanders, who now hold a record of 4-17 overall and 1-5 within the conference.
Looking ahead, Albany will face Binghamton at home next Saturday, aiming to build on this momentum. Meanwhile, NJIT will prepare to host UMass-Lowell on Thursday, seeking to turn their season around with better performances.
