RICHMOND, Ky. — Mayar Wol led the Eastern Kentucky Colonels with 18 points in their thrilling 81-77 victory over FGCU on Saturday night.
Wol not only showcased his scoring ability but also made a significant impact on the boards, pulling down nine rebounds for the Colonels, who now stand at 10-11 overall and 4-4 in the Atlantic Sun Conference.

George Kimble III also played a pivotal role in the win, contributing 18 points along with five assists and four steals. Turner Buttry supported the team with 10 points, demonstrating his shooting prowess by making 2 of 5 attempts from the floor, including 2 of 3 from beyond the arc, and converted all four of his free-throw attempts.

On the other side, FGCU, with a record of 11-10 and 6-2 in the conference, saw Jevin Muniz leading their scoring with 18 points, complemented by six rebounds and seven assists. Dallion Johnson added to the Eagles’ efforts with 16 points, while Rahmir Barno contributed 15 points along with six rebounds and seven assists. Unfortunately for FGCU, this defeat snapped their five-game winning streak, marking a tough setback for the team.
