LOUISVILLE, Ky. — In a competitive matchup on Saturday, Treyton Thompson shone for Stetson, scoring 23 points and contributing to the team’s 81-76 victory over Bellarmine.
As a key player for the Hatters (7-14, 5-3 Atlantic Sun Conference), Thompson also grabbed seven rebounds, demonstrating his all-around skills.
His teammate, Mehki, made a noteworthy impact as well, netting 17 points while shooting 4 for 15 from the field, including a disappointing 1 for 5 from beyond the arc.
However, he capitalized at the free-throw line, making 8 of 9 attempts, and rounded out his performance with five rebounds and five assists.
Jordan Wood contributed 14 points, shooting 4 for 9 overall and showing accuracy by sinking all his free throws without a miss (4 for 4), along with six rebounds to aid the team.

On the opposing side, Jack Karasinski emerged as the top scorer for the Knights (3-18, 0-8) with a total of 21 points.
Kenyon Goodin added 14 points to the Knights’ efforts, while Billy Smith supported the team with 14 points, four assists, and two steals.
Unfortunately for Bellarmine, this defeat marked their 11th consecutive loss, deepening their struggles this season.

Looking ahead, Stetson is set to face North Florida on the road this Wednesday, while Bellarmine will travel to Austin Peay for a matchup on Thursday.
