Moscow, Idaho — In an exciting matchup on Saturday, Northern Arizona emerged victorious against Idaho with a score of 80-72, thanks largely to the efforts of Diego Campisano, who contributed 19 points to his team’s success.
Campisano was impressive on the court, shooting 6 for 9 overall and hitting 5 out of 7 attempts from beyond the arc, which helped the Lumberjacks improve their record to 13 wins and 8 losses, placing them at 4-4 in the Big Sky Conference.
Carson Towt also made a significant impact with 16 points, shooting 6 for 12 from the field and securing 18 rebounds, cementing his role in the team’s overall performance. Trenton McLaughlin added 15 points, converting 5 of 15 field-goal attempts, including 3 for 8 from the three-point range, while also going 2 for 3 at the free-throw line.
For the Idaho Vandals, Jack Payne led the charge with a standout performance, scoring 20 points. Supporting him, Julius Mims brought in 16 points along with two blocks. Kolton Mitchell contributed on multiple fronts with 15 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists.
Looking ahead, Northern Arizona will travel to face Northern Colorado next Saturday, while Idaho is set to visit Weber State on Thursday.
